Mono-Pitched Frames in Advance Steel

Mono Pitched Frames are used a lot in construction. The Advance Steel has an option to build one, and use it in your project.

You can access the mono-pitched frame tool from the Home tab:

or from the Extended Modeling tab:

For the mono-pitched frame, a single rafter is inserted between two columns. The rafter can be in a horizontal position or sloped.

When you activate this tool, you will be asked to specify the base point of the first column and at the top of the second column.

Set Out

If you need to adjust the size of your mono-pitched frame, you can do it in the Set Out tab. You can adjust the frame span, column heights, and slope:

Position of Frame

In this tab, you can define the position of the columns and rafters with respect to the points used to define the frame.

Connecting the Structural Elements of the Mono-Pitched Frame
