Welcome to GoMeasure4me.com. These terms are the ground rules for using the site. By using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. The site is run by Artur in Chicago, Illinois, USA (“I,” “me”).

What this site is

GoMeasure4me.com is a personal blog with tutorials and notes on structural steel detailing in Autodesk Advance Steel, plus Revit, Inventor, CNC plasma cutting, and 3D textures. Everything here is shared for general education. It is not engineering, legal, or professional advice. Please read the Disclaimer before you use anything from this site on a real project.

Using the content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, screenshots, drawings, videos, templates, and textures on this site belong to me. You’re welcome to:

  • read, watch, and learn from anything here;
  • use the free templates and textures I offer in your own work and client projects;
  • quote a short part of a post with a link back to the original page.

Please don’t copy whole posts or videos to another website, resell or redistribute my templates or texture packs as your own, or remove my name or links from them. If you want to use something in a way not covered here, just email me and ask.

Downloads and templates

Free files from this site (for example, Advance Steel stair templates or seamless textures) are provided “as is.” Check every dimension, connection, and material before you use a file on a real job, and make sure it works with your software version. You are responsible for anything you build, fabricate, or submit using these files.

Your conduct

When you use the site, the newsletter, or the contact form, please don’t send spam, malware, or anything illegal, abusive, or that infringes someone else’s rights. Don’t try to break into, overload, or scrape the site in a way that disrupts it. If comments are open, I may edit or remove any comment, and I may block anyone who misuses the site.

The site links to other websites and shows ads from Google AdSense (and possibly Ezoic in the future). Some links are affiliate links (see the Affiliate Disclosure). I don’t control other websites or the ads shown by ad networks, and I’m not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices. Showing an ad doesn’t mean I endorse the product.

Trademarks

Autodesk, Advance Steel, AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, and other product names mentioned on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. I use them only to describe the software I’m writing about. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Autodesk or any other software maker.

No warranty

I work hard to keep the content accurate, but software changes, building codes change, and I make mistakes. The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that the content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site, its downloads, or any information on it, including lost profits, project delays, fabrication errors, rework, or property damage. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
