Once you start using Autodesk Inventor, the first thing you notice that is so annoying that will drive you crazy is the behavior of the zoom in and out when using your mouse wheel. It is simply reversed to all the software you are accustomed to.
Thankfully there is a simple trick where you can reverse this behavior and start using Autodesk Inventor.
Controlling the Direction of the Mouse Wheel
To control the direction of the mouse wheel when zooming in and out in Inventor, go to File -> Options:
The dialog box will open. Choose the Display tab and in the 3D Navigation section, go to Zoom Behavior and check the Reverse Direction option. Click Apply and Close the dialog box.
The mouse wheel will work now in the expected direction.
