So you’ve finished your Advance Steel project and you want to send it to someone for review, but what if they don’t have the software? The easiest way to get around this problem is to convert your model to a Navisworks file and send that. It is actually quite a straightforward process. Navisworks Freedom is a free viewer that you can download from the Autodesk website here.
Below you will find all the steps on how to create a Navisworks file in Advance Steel.
STEP 1
- Open the EXPORT & IMPORT tab:

- Click on Export to Navisworks
STEP 3
- Your model will open in Advance Steel, where you can find the corresponding file in the Advance Steel original project folder location with the extension .dwf
