Monowills in Advance Steel are very similar to the Handrail command. It is especially very important for steel detailers located in Australia and New Zealand since most of the projects require Monowills systems.

Accessing Monowills Command
You can access the Monowills command from the Home or Extended Modeling ribbon tab.
To access Monowills tool from Home tab:
Home ribbon tab > Extended Modeling panel > Hand-railing > Monowills
To access Monowills tool from Extended Modeling tab:
Extended Modeling ribbon tab > Structural Elements panel > Hand-Railing > Monowills
Using The Monowills Tool
When you launch this tool command, you will be asked to select the beam to connect to. Once you select the element and press ENTER, you will be asked to pick a start and end point. Once you are done specifying, the Monowills dialog box will open:
Here are all the options available to modify your Monowills:
General Tab > General
Options in this tab are used to specify the parameters pertaining to the handrail:
Handrail Type
You can choose the handrail type from the two options available: Standard or Heavy.
Start/End Type
Specify the start and end type of the handrails. You can also select No End Conditions or Standard Closure Bend or Rail Extension.
Start/End Offset
Specify the start and end offsets of the handrails.
Construction Type
Specify the construction type of the handrail sections and closure bends. Here are the available options:
As Complete Polybeam
The entire top section of the handrail for all the connecting beam segments in all directions will be created as a single part. The bottom section will also be created as a single part. The closure bends will be created as special parts.
As Complete Polybeam 1
The top section and bottom sections will be created as single parts.
Seperated + Fittings
Each section of the top and bottom will be created as individual parts and the closure bend items as special parts.
General Tab > Bolts
Specify bolts for the Monorails installations to the beam.
Segments Category > Segments Tab
Specify all the details of the segments in this tab:
Post Start/End Offset
Specify the start and end offsets of the posts. It is required if you have changed the start or end offsets in the General category tab.
Post Type
Select the post type from many available type options.
Inserting Panelized Monowills
This includes Panelized Monowills systems and those similar that were created using options available in the Monowills tools. You will find the tool just under the Monowills tool in the Ribbon.
